Gentle Motion ("we", "our", or "us") built Tipbook, an income tracker for tipped workers. This page describes how we handle your data.

Summary

• Your shift and tip records are private to you — visible only from your own account
• We do not display advertisements
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties
• Signing in is optional — you only need an account if you want to back up and sync your records

Sign-In

You can sign in with your Google account so your records are backed up and available across your devices. When you sign in, we receive:

• Your Google account email address
• A unique user ID used to link your records to you

We do not receive your Google password. We do not use your account for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond linking your records to you.

How Your Records Are Stored

The shifts, tips, hours, jobs, and goals you log are saved so you can use them across your devices:

• Your records are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS)
• They are stored on our servers and associated with your account, visible only to you
• When you ask a question about your own records, we use artificial intelligence to turn that question into a chart over your data — your records are not used to train anyone else's model and are not shared

We use reasonable security measures to protect your records, but no system can be fully secure.

Data Stored on Your Device

Your sign-in session, app preferences (such as your currency and theme), and a copy of your recent records are stored locally on your device. You can clear this data by signing out or uninstalling the app.

Analytics and Crash Reporting

We collect anonymous usage data to understand how the app is used and to fix bugs. This includes:

• Screen views and feature usage (anonymized)
• Crash reports

Analytics and crash data is processed on our own self-hosted servers and is never shared with third parties. We do not collect personally identifiable information in analytics.

Purchases

Any purchases are handled entirely by the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. We do not collect or store payment information.

Your Rights

You can:

• Sign out of the app at any time
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data via our account deletion form — we remove your records within 30 days
• Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data

Children's Privacy

Tipbook is designed for working adults who earn tips. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
